Mobile Apps - Privacy Policy
This policy applies to all mobile applications published by Altronis ("we", "us", "our") on Google Play and other distribution platforms. It supplements our general privacy policy with details specific to our mobile apps.
Last updated: 13 October 2026
Apps covered
- Lunar Calendar SG (新加坡华人农历, sg.altronis.lunarcalendar) - Chinese almanac calendar with an AI assistant
This list is updated as we publish new apps.
Data stored on your phone
The app keeps the following in its own storage on your phone:
- Notes and reminders you save
- A random install ID created by the app. It is not your Android device ID or advertising ID.
- Calendar settings downloaded from altronis.sg, such as Big Sweep dates
The app does not save your chat conversations. If Android backup is turned on, Android may include the app's data in your phone's backup, which Google stores in your Google account.
Data sent when you use the AI assistant
When you ask the AI assistant (黄历大师) a question, the app sends:
- Your question as text, whether you typed it or spoke it
- Almanac data for today and the next 30 days. This is the same for every user and contains no personal information.
- The random install ID, used only to count your questions against the daily limit
If you ask the assistant to save a note or reminder (for example "记下:下周一交房租"), that sentence is sent the same way so the AI can work out the date. The saved note stays on your phone.
The request goes over HTTPS to our relay at altronis.sg/lunar-api, which runs on Cloudflare, and from there to our own AI server at neo.altronis.sg. The AI model runs on our own hardware. Your questions are not sent to any third-party AI provider and are not used to train AI models.
What our servers keep
- Your questions and the AI's answers: not stored. Our relay and our AI server handle them in memory and do not write them to logs or databases.
- Daily counters. To enforce the daily limit, we count questions and reports per install ID and per network. The network is recorded as a keyed one-way code made from your IP address, never the IP address itself. The first question or report after midnight (Singapore time) deletes the previous day's counters.
- Reported answers. When you tap 举报 (report), we keep the AI answer you reported, the reason you chose and the time, so we can fix problems. A report does not include your question, your install ID or your IP address, but if the answer repeats something you wrote, that text is kept with it. Reports are deleted automatically after 90 days.
- Technical logs. Our relay logs events such as "daily limit reached" or "AI unavailable", without your question, install ID or IP address. Our AI server logs the request path, the result, how long it took, which app's access key was used and the network address the request came from. Requests reach it from Cloudflare rather than from your phone, so that address is Cloudflare's, not yours.
Calendar settings
About once a day, the app downloads public calendar settings (such as Big Sweep dates) from altronis.sg. No personal data is sent with this request. As with any web request, Cloudflare and Google Cloud, which carry and host altronis.sg, may record your IP address in their standard request logs.
Voice input and read-aloud
When you tap the microphone, the app asks for microphone permission and uses your phone's speech recognition service (on most Android phones this is provided by Google) to turn your speech into text. That service handles the audio under its own privacy policy. The app receives only the text and does not record or keep audio. Read-aloud uses your phone's own text-to-speech engine.
Data we do not collect
- Location
- Contacts, photos or files
- Your name, email address or phone number
- Usage analytics or tracking data
- Advertising identifiers
- Payment information. The app has no purchases, subscriptions or ads.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare - network and relay for altronis.sg (Cloudflare Privacy Policy)
- Google - your phone's speech recognition service, and Google Cloud hosting for altronis.sg (Google Privacy Policy)
- Capacitor (Ionic) - app framework, runs on your phone, no data collection
Children's privacy
Our apps are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Data retention
Data on your phone stays until you delete it, clear the app data or uninstall the app. On our servers, daily counters are deleted each day and reported answers are deleted after 90 days. Questions and answers are not kept.
Your rights under PDPA
Under Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012, you may:
- Request access to any personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Withdraw consent for data processing
Our servers hold nothing linked to your name or contact details: the counters use a random install ID and a one-way code, and reports carry no identifier. The quickest way to remove your data is to clear the app data or uninstall the app. For anything else, email us.
